02Web Development

Hand-coded web development that ships fast, stays fast, and doesn't break.

Modern React, TypeScript, and headless architecture — built by senior engineers, not page-builder pipelines. Every site ships accessible (WCAG AA), fast (Core Web Vitals in the green), and pixel-honest to the Figma. No themes, no plugins doing the heavy lifting, no surprises in production.

  • Custom React / Next.js / TanStack builds — never a theme
  • Headless CMS integration your marketing team actually uses
  • Core Web Vitals in the green on real devices, not just labs
  • WCAG AA accessibility, typed end-to-end, CI on every PR

What we fix

The reasons teams call us for a redesign.

  • 01

Your site is slow, and every plugin makes it slower.

    How we fix it

We rebuild on a lean modern stack — React, TypeScript, edge rendering — and measure Core Web Vitals on real devices, not just Lighthouse in a lab. Performance budgets live in CI so regressions never reach production.

  • 02

Marketing can't ship a page without a developer.

    How we fix it

We wire a headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful, Payload) with real content models and previews — so your team writes, drags, publishes, and previews without opening a ticket. Devs stay out of copy changes for good.

  • 03

The build never matches the Figma.

    How we fix it

Our designers and engineers sit in the same studio. We build with the same tokens, spacing, and components from the design file — so what shipped is what was designed, down to the hover state.

  • 04

You're locked into a stack you can't hire against.

    How we fix it

We build on frameworks your next engineer already knows — React, Next.js, TanStack Start, TypeScript. Fully documented, typed, and handed over with repo access, CI, and a walkthrough.

Before code

We sketch it messy first.

Structure, hierarchy, and story get resolved on paper — long before anyone opens Figma. Cheaper to move a marker than a component.

What you get

A fast, typed, accessible site your team can own on day one.

Every engagement includes architecture, custom development, CMS integration, accessibility, performance work, analytics, and a full deploy pipeline. Everything below the headline is included by default.

01

Custom React front-end

Hand-coded components — no page builders, no themes. TypeScript end-to-end, tested, and matched to your design system.

02

Headless CMS your team uses

Sanity, Contentful, or Payload — with real content models, live previews, and roles marketing can actually use.

03

Performance & Core Web Vitals

Image, font, and JS budgets in CI. Edge rendering, prefetch, and cache strategy tuned to your traffic pattern.

04

Accessibility & QA baked in

WCAG AA, keyboard flows, screen-reader passes, and automated a11y tests in CI — not a post-launch audit.

How the work moves

Four moves. No surprises.

Every design engagement runs on the same rails — so you always know what's next, what we need from you, and what ships this week.

  1. 01

    Architect

We turn the Figma and the content model into a real technical plan: framework, rendering strategy, CMS shape, integrations, and infra. Nothing gets built before it's mapped.

    • Stack & rendering strategy
    • Content model & CMS schema
    • Integration & auth plan
    • Performance budgets & CI
  2. 02

    Build

Component-first React, typed end-to-end, wired to a headless CMS. We build in short vertical slices — real pages, real content — and demo working URLs every week.

    • Typed component library
    • CMS wiring & previews
    • Weekly staging demos
    • PR-based code review
  3. 03

    Harden

Before launch: accessibility passes, performance tuning, analytics, error tracking, and a full staging rehearsal. We ship a site that's ready for traffic, not just ready for a screenshot.

    • WCAG AA audit & fixes
    • Core Web Vitals tuning
    • Analytics & event spec
    • Error tracking & alerts
  4. 04

    Launch & handover

Zero-downtime deploy, DNS cutover, and a full walkthrough with your team. Repo, CI, CMS, and docs all handed over — plus 30 days of hyper-care so nothing floats.

    • Zero-downtime cutover
    • Repo, CI & CMS handover
    • Docs & Loom walkthrough
    • 30-day hyper-care window

Engineering, done right

Code that your next dev actually wants to inherit.

Typed end to end. Tested where it matters. Documented so onboarding is hours, not weeks. No mystery frameworks, no clever hacks, no dead code.

Questions we hear

The FAQ
before you ask.

What stack do you build on?

By default: React with TypeScript, on Next.js or TanStack Start, styled with Tailwind, hosted on Vercel or Cloudflare. For content we usually reach for Sanity, Contentful, or Payload. We can adapt to an existing stack — we just won't add page builders or bloated themes.

How long does a build take?

Most marketing sites take 4 to 8 weeks in build, running in parallel with design or starting from a finished Figma. Web apps and CMS-heavy sites take longer — we scope a fixed timeline in the first week and demo working URLs every Friday.

Do we own the code and the CMS?

Yes. Repo, CMS, hosting accounts, and CI all get transferred to your org on launch. No vendor lock-in, no license fees you didn't sign for. You can keep us on retainer or take it fully in-house — your call.

Can you work with our existing designers or engineers?

Yes — about a third of our builds are with an in-house design team or an existing dev team we're extending. We're used to slotting into your PR flow, standups, and design reviews.

How do you handle performance and accessibility?

Performance budgets (JS, image, font weight) live in CI — a PR that breaks them can't merge. Accessibility is baseline WCAG AA, with keyboard and screen-reader passes and automated axe checks on every build.

Do you also design, or only build?

Both. Our design team hands off in Figma with tokens and variants, and our engineers build against the same tokens — so nothing gets lost in translation. If you already have a designer, we design-to-build against their file.
